Holden VL Walkinshaw

This vehicle came up for sale recently and although it is basically very sound and tidy it is in need of a freshen up. We have bought it as a daily driver for me to replace the familiar company, red XR Ute we have had for the past 3 years.

walkinshaw-004.jpgIt is a factory Holden VL Commodore V8 and so has full options including electric windows, power steering and air conditioning. We have fitted the big 19″x9.5″ and 19″x 8.5″ rims with 275 and 245 tyres fitted now and massaged the rear arch’s to accept the wheels without rubbing. The Walkinshaw body kit was already fitted and a reasonable job has been made but it will eventually be removed and tidied up further before refitting it. I really wanted this car to have a “Full” rear arch look as the original cars always appeared to be under-shod leaving the wheels looking far less than complimentary to the Walkinshaw body panels.

Nolathane Suspension bushes are being fitted to firm up the driving feel and performance and a T5 5 Speed trans is being fitted shortly, however that is the extent of the mods intended for this VL. Once the Big Banger and Camaro are completed we will do a full strip and repaint later in the winter months and in time for use over the next summer again.

Holden Crewman SS Hard-lid

We have just completed a second Holden Crewman Hard-lid modification.  Our clients wanted to fit both a Hard-lid and an alloy Sports-bar on their vehicles which is not normally an option.

We have engineered our own modifications to both components in order to allow the hard-lid lid to be fitted and open normally with the Sports-bar fitted also.

Mitsubishi Triton V6 Ute

We have just replaced the old company Ute with a new vehicle supplied by Houston Motors in Nelson.  The Mitsubishi Triton is a one-off 2wd, V6 Petrol, 5-speed manual double cab.

It has undergone our own in-house modifications transforming it into a great looking Truck.

We imported the 22″ chrome wheels from the USA.  The arch flares are from the 4 wheel drive model and the roof spoiler is made by us in-house.  We have painted the bumper, grille, mirrors, arch flares, deck caps and door frames.  The windows have been tinted and yet to be fitted are our lowered springs and dual exhaust exiting through the rear bumper.
