“Big Banger” update.

The project VK’s bodyshell is now ready for final paint. The project has had delays in the time-line again with new information and spec’s coming to light. The rear suspension has been changed now and includes a fabricated watts linkage setup which is fully adjustable for roll centre tuning and track. The rear lower control arms are now strengthened and are fitted with adjustable platforms and race springs while the top arms are fabricated replacements with rose jointed ends to allow for tuning diff pinion angle and tuning rear end for maximum drive.

All design and fabrication on the car is done “in house” and by myself. With a build like this it is the only way it can be done right because there are so many things that are modified or fabricated which have to come together and function perfectly.

Doors are final painted and other body panels will be painted over the next few weeks now.

Fuel cell and exhaust are getting attention also now completing the list of major items to address.

Brakes and diff are stripped and will be checked and modified and rebuilt in the New Year. Engine will be stripped, checked and assembled to Group C + spec also in the New Year.

Images will be added during the next few weeks.

Merry Xmas and be safe over the holiday season.

Regards Brad and staff.
